I’m the girl who was sending out Christmas cards even when it was just me and my dog, but back then I didn’t plan out a photoshoot and design my own cards. I would just buy a cute boxset from a local store, but that all changed in 2015, the year I got married and had my first son. 2015 was the first year we designed our own Christmas cards and never looked back.

While digital is king, there is nothing better than receiving a Christmas / Holiday card from your family and friends in the mail. I remember growing up getting dozens of cards in the mail and my mom would display them for all to see. It was always so special to look at them throughout the season and have a small pieces of the ones we love, in our home. Now of course there wasn't things like Facebook and Instagram back them so for family and friends that lived far away, this may be the one time of year you heard from them. While we are now able to keep up with family and friends across the world a lot easier these days, there will always be something special about receiving a Christmas card in the mail. Plus, I am a huge advocate of having family photos taking by a professional at least once a year and having them taking for your holiday card, is the perfect excuse.

This year, I partnered with Crane Stationery to create my Christmas cards and I could be more happy with the results. As a luxury stationary brand, there quality is amazing and their new collection of holiday cards with textured paper and gold foil, did not disappoint. Every detail was though of, down to the packaging the cards were delivered in. The hardest part was narrowing down what images and design I wanted to go with, so this year I decide to try two. One with the goal foil (which is hard to see here, but is gorgeous) and one with multiple images, an incredibly thick paper and embossed design on the back. The second hardest part was deciding which card to send to who, because both are equally stunning.
