Easter weekend

Who would thought that one year later, we’d still be dealing with a global pandemic. Last Easter was we were still living in the city, in a tiny 2 bedroom apartment, at the start of a Global Pandemic. We woke up early and went out for a scooter ride, to get some fresh air with very little people around. We did our first large scale chalk art and made a mosaic cross with the words “He is Risen” in the lot behind our apartment building. It was pretty cool, because between the many surround high-rises, our chalk art was able to be seen my thousands. I like to think that during such uncertain, scary and isolating times, or little family art project brought others joy.

One year later, we are living in Central West Jersey, in a home where we could fit our whole apartment in the front room - still in a pandemic, still attending church virtually. We made the best of it, with a egg hunt out front for the boys, watercolor painting and a sack race out back. You can see a little video of our day here. It was actually one of our best Easters as a Family, proof that you don’t need much.

We also did a fun little impromptu photoshoot out front with the gorgeous forsythia bushes we have around our property. Part two, coming soon…
