This past Saturday was perfect in New York; wonderful weather highlighted by brunch, a stroll along the water front, and a trip to the flea market (my new favorite place to be on the weekend).  Some weekends I live in my yoga clothes in between Bikram classes, while others I love to step it up a notch and this past Saturday was one of those days! I was so excited to wear my new Lacey Beach Shorts from Shopgrl that my entire outfit was planned around them.  I knew I wanted this look to be neutral but with texture and my white beaded collar top was the perfect compliment, with the added belt.

I love the way this whole look dresses up the shorts making it perfectly acceptable for a weekend brunch or a day at the office (if you work in a creative environment like I do).  Strolling around the flea last weekend in this outfit I got so many compliments, one lady even unofficially named me the "it girl" of LIC.  Hey, I'll take it ;)
