Transitional Style | Boho Mini + Faux Leather Vest
Over the weekend, we came across a new mural in Astoria that I knew I had to take pictures in front of. I wish I knew what the artist was thinking, while they created this pieces or even who the artist is. Something about this wall reminds me of a grownup version of the Disney song "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah", probably not at all what the artist intended but what can I say, I relate many things in my life back to musicals, so they should take it as a compliment. Nevertheless, I'm over here singing the song as I type, and stepping out the door today with a blue bird on my shoulder and a smile on my face.
With Fall right around the corner, (sorry, I can't help it) I can't stop thinking about transitioning pieces in my current wardrobe into the cooler months. Today, I'm showing you how I plan to wear a boho mini dress, straight into Fall, with the addition of a faux leather vest - Fall is the perfect time to experiment with textures. With the addition of booties or boots this Michael Kors dress becomes even more versatile, while the color combo plays well with the darker, saturated tones of Fall. Oh, and how could I forget the best part - this dress is on sale! Make sure you check it out, before it's gone. By the way, I also included a maxi version in "Get the look" below, just incase mini's are not your thing.
