Mix + Match Style // J Crew Camel Sweater (Remix)
I just got back from ALT Summit Saturday night and my head I have to admit, my head is still spinning. My "to-do list" has grown exuberantly. I had the-time-of-my-life at ALT... better than I imagined I would. I learned, networked, and partied with the best of them, and now comes the fun part; the follow up and follow through, most of which will have to wait unit next weekend, as I'm headed to Mexico tomorrow morning for work.
I did want to start off the week sharing with you one of my looks from the week, featuring my favorite quirky camel sweater, from J. Crew (previously worn here). For ALT, I wanted to remix this look by mixing + matching with a few different prints... in comes a floral print skirt and leopard print pumps, and since it was 12 degrees and snowing when I decided to take pictures and I didn't want to add tights to this look, we took the pictures inside; not bad for our first attempt.
When mixing + matching, don't be afraid to take it up a notch. The way you make it work is by finding a common tread and color palette. Here you can see the strips in the blanket, covering the camels hump, match back to the necklace and the floral print skirt. In addition, the colors in the leopard print match back well with the camel and black in the sweater.
