Green Juice Recipe | Spicy Cantaloupe Pineapple

Sage + Sparkle Green Juice Recipe 3Three more days and I will be jetting off to the Bahamas, to celebrate a milestone birthday for a dear friend.  The next three days can not go by fast enough! While the weather has gotten better in New York, I heard the temps are expected to drop again soon and I can't believe I'm saying this but I need some vitamin D and some sand between my toes.  While I am admittedly a lover of all things fall I have lately come to appreciate ALL seasons and with Spring only being a handful of days, at least in the North East, I say, bring on Summer! Since I'm headed to a tropical island, I thought it was only appropriate that I share with you a spicy tropical green juice recipe.  Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 Pineapple
  • 1/2 Cantaloupe
  • 1 Jalapeño (seeded)
  • 3 large handfuls of spinach

Directions:

Clean spinach, then place in juicer.  Slice open jalapeño, remove seeds and steam, then place in juicer.  I like to add the jalapeño earlier in the process as the fruit juice helps push the flavor along.  Next, add the cantaloupe and then finally the pineapple.  I always do the pineapple last, as sometimes the pulp from the pineapple can get stuck in the blades of your juicer.  Stir and enjoy!
