Fall at the New York Botanical Garden

A few weeks ago, we took a trip up to the Bronx to check out the New York Botanical Garden's Holiday Train Show.  I'll share more on the train show later (which was amazing btw), but for today, I wanted to share a few photos we snapped in the garden, on our way out.

I've been the the NYBG before, but never this late in the year.  Spring is a natural time to check out the garden, as you can imagine, all the blooms are stunning.  I've also been for Halloween, which is super fun and festive, but around that time of year most of the leaves in NYC haven't fully changed over just yet.  Being there at the end of November, on a year where the Fall season was a tad warmer than usual, was a real treat.  The leaves were stunning.  Some leaves had already fallen, some were still green (that's what happens when the weather is up and down as it's been), but all together the scene was absolutely beautiful.

We made out trip to the NYBG the day after Thanksgiving, which was the perfect way to spend the long holiday weekend and walk off a few extra turkey day calories in the process. Since this is my second time being pregnant and I have the add adventure of taking care of a toddler at the same time, I have found that I have been dressing much more comfortably and casually than the first time around.  In general, since becoming a mom, my style has shifted that way for the most part, while still keeping my look stylish.  I have been obsessed with oversized turtleneck sweaters lately–cosy, chic, easy to breastfeed in (yes, I'm still breastfeeding) and perfect for hiding a small bump that still looks like a food baby.  This particular sweater I'm wearing has been on serious repeat and you'll never believe where I got it from... COSTCO–crazy, right?!? I sized up, as I like the more tunic fit and I'm hoping it will fit throughout my pregnancy, then bought it in three colors, because I loved it so much.  I got navy, cream and heather gray, but I have to say heather gray sweaters are my absolute favorite.

Shop my favorite cozy gray sweaters:

I usually like to coordinate my outfit with Jaydens and this day was no exception.  However, we took our style up a notch and had daddy match Jayden too.  How cute are they in there (almost) identical button downs and gray shawl collar with patch sleeve cardigan sweatshirts?!?  I mean, seriously, my heart is swooning!
